Our Company Program is designed for dedicated dancers seeking a more rigorous and comprehensive training experience. Open to students ages 7–18, this program offers structured instruction across all major styles, including Ballet, Pre-Pointe/Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theater, and Acro.
Company Dancers are placed into appropriate class levels based on age and experience, ensuring they are continually challenged while receiving personalized support. Participation in Company requires multiple weekly classes and a strong commitment to growth, teamwork, and accountability.

Our Apprentice Company bridges the gap between foundational Group/Pre-Teen classes and full Company membership. Dancers attend at least two days a week and train across a variety of styles, with class lengths varying by style. Apprentice students may take:
This level is designed for committed students seeking more structure, challenge, and variety in their training. Apprentice dancers strengthen their technique, expand their versatility, and build performance confidence in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.
Placement is determined by age, experience, and instructor recommendation. It's the perfect next step for young dancers eager to grow and prepare for our full Company program.
Sophomore Company is designed for dancers who have progressed beyond the Apprentice level and are ready for more advanced training. Dancers attend at least two days a week and train across a variety of styles, with class lengths varying by style. Ballet classes at this level are extended to 1 hour and 15-minute to support deeper technical development. Sophomore students may take:
This level strengthens versatility and artistic development while introducing dancers to more complex choreography and movement vocabulary. Placement is determined by age, experience, and instructor evaluation.
Junior Company is designed for dancers with a strong foundation who are ready for increased challenge and refinement. This level builds on the foundation set in Sophomore Company, with increased expectations and class intensity. Dancers attend multiple days per week with varied class lengths based on style and level. Ballet remains 1 hour and 15 minutes, and Jazz and Hip-Hop at this level are taken as separate classes. Students are also introduced to specialty training in Leaps & Turns to strengthen technique and execution. Junior students may take:
Junior Company dancers are expected to demonstrate focus, consistency, and growth as they prepare for more advanced Company levels. Placement is determined by age, experience, and instructor evaluation.
Senior Company is designed for dancers with a strong foundation who are ready for increased challenge and refinement. This level builds on the foundation set in Sophomore Company, with increased expectations and class intensity. Dancers attend multiple days per week with varied class lengths based on style and level. Ballet remains 1 hour and 15 minutes, and Jazz and Hip-Hop at this level are taken as separate classes. As dancers progress into the upper company levels (Senior, Principal I, Principal II) some styles such as Modern, Jazz, and Hip-Hop may be taught in combined Company level classes to allow for more dynamic instruction and community building while still meeting each dancer's technical needs.
Principal Company dancers are Symmetry Dance Company's most advanced students, demonstrating exceptional technique, artistry, and commitment. These dancers take on challenging choreography and often serve as role models and leaders in the studio. Pointe is available by instructor approval for students who have studied ballet for at least five years and have completed Pre-Pointe requirements. Class length varies based on style. Senior students may take:
Principal I and II are grouped based on experience and age, with both groups attending multiple weekly classes and sharing some combined Company classes.
