Creative Movement A–C | Ages 1.5–4 | Ballet & Tap
At Symmetry Dance Company in Scranton, PA, our Creative Movement program introduces young children ages 1.5–4 years to the joy of dance through age-appropriate ballet and tap instruction. These foundational classes focus on rhythm, coordination, musicality, and imagination in a nurturing and structured environment.
Designed to grow with your child, our Creative Movement classes A–C transition from guardian-assisted to independent learning:
- Creative Movement A & C | With Parents
These preschool dance classes are an introduction to ballet and tap through music, rhythm, and imaginative movement. These classes gently guide toddlers through movement exploration with caregiver support.
- Creative Movement B | Without Parents
This class encourages more independence, helping dancers follow instruction, build motor skills, and gain confidence in the classroom.
My Buddy & Me | Ages 1.5–4 | Ballet & Tap
This beginner dance class pairs your child with an older student or sibling mentor for personalized encouragement and connection, creating a positive first experience with community-based learning. Dancers build coordination and classroom skills through ballet and tap fundamentals with guidance from our one-of-a-kind “buddy” system.
Mini Hip-Hop/Jazz | Ages 2–4 | Hip-Hop & Jazz
Our Mini Hip-Hop/Jazz class at Symmetry Dance Company offers energetic, age-appropriate dance training for children ages 2–4. Designed for young movers who love to groove, this class blends beginner hip-hop with jazz fundamentals in a fun, upbeat setting. Whether taken alongside Creative Movement or as a stand-alone class, this program helps young dancers gain performance skills and self-expression while having a blast.
